We’re an independent care home that offers award-winning dementia care with a twist of fun. From drumming workshops and zoo days to surprise visits from the ice cream van, life at Summerley is anything but ordinary. We specialise in creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment where residents stay active, build friendships, and enjoy each day in their own way.

Care tailored to our residents

Dementia is a complex and deeply personal condition that affects everyone differently. That’s why we take the time to truly get to know each resident, including their history, personality and preferences, so we can provide thoughtful, person-centred care that reflects who they are and what matters most to them.

Home from home

A care home should feel just like home - familiar, comfortable and filled with warmth. From day one, we make every resident feel truly welcome and part of our extended family. Whether it’s enjoying home-cooked meals, celebrating special moments or sharing a friendly chat over a cup of tea, we create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where people feel they belong. It’s the little things, a favourite chair, familiar routines, a warm greeting each morning, that bring comfort, reassurance and a true sense of home.

Staying active

There’s never a dull day at Summerley. Our residents enjoy a wide variety of activities designed to keep them active, stimulate the mind and encourage social connections. From daily walks along the beautiful seafront and hands-on drumming workshops to special visits from zoo animals brought right into the home, there’s always something to brighten the day.
